OUR STORY

At Bruno’s Bakery, we have spent the last 26 years mixing the finest local ingredients, with our skill and craft to create homemade, fresh, quality produce. From our signature Granary Bread to our delectable egg custard tarts, everything is produced by us, in our Bakery, every day.

Bruno’s has humble beginnings since its arrival on the High Street in April 1989. Our proprietor Brian, learnt his trade in his teenage years biking across Birmingham to a small bakery in Small heath in the early 80’s.

After moving to Redditch some years later, now with wife Joanne, they decided to set up their own Bakery in the Warwickshire village of Studley. The Bakery grew steadily over the years and is now a landmark on the High Street.

In 2004, however, the bakery burnt down to the ground. An external electrical fault triggered a devastating fire that threatened not just the building but the entire business. Thanks to some of the kind hearted people of the village we were able to use a local business to ensure the external business we do would not be affected and through dogged hard work the bakery was able to fully reopen in April 2004, only 12 weeks after the initial fire and exactly 14 years after the doors were open for the first time.

12 years on, through a rebrand and a shop refit, you find us where we are today. We stand by the same principles we began with, creating the finest breads and baked goods, using local ingredients and all made by hand, by us. You could say, its our recipe for success!
